The book basically starts out with this guy named Sal Dean Moriarty, who just moved to New York. He just got out from a reform school, and also, just got married to a girl named Marylou. They move to New York because Sal wants to be a writer. Marylou moved with him only because she was going to not have to work because Sal is going to be a "hit" and make alot of money.
During the first two chapters of the book, i feel like that Marylou is just going to use him in New York because of Sals money that he is going to get from the "hits" of the books that he has wrote and sent in. She has this big feeling that he is going to get the New York best seller of the year.
Hold up, who insists that he's going to be a "hit"? Just Marylou or like an editor?
ReplyDeleteWell in the introduction of the story it has mentioned some of the books that he has written in the past, and they have been Great books. Marylou marries Sal only because he has decent money, and from the previous books.An editior has not seen the book that he has been working on, only because he wants this book to be, he wrote it, finished it and sends it in. Like a 50/50 chance of being a good or bad book.
